Alliance of eight leading Austrian companies
The HIAA is organized as a project and was launched by ÖBAG and VERBUND in the summer of 2022 to drive forward the development of the Austrian hydrogen import economy together with national stakeholders from industry and the energy sector.
Eight leading Austrian energy and industrial companies have joined forces across the value chain in the HIAA:
The HIAA member companies
- represent more than 40,000 jobs in Austria and almost 100,000 jobs worldwide
- achieved a total turnover of over EUR 100 billion in 2022
- have a CO2 avoidance potential of more than 30 million tons and thus offer one of the greatest levers for CO2 savings
